Humpbacks close to Hauganes!

We’ve been blessed with the presence of humpback whales while whale watching here in Hauganes, North Iceland. If you are staying in Akureyri you are just 25 minutes driving to Hauganes. We expect good tours the next days!

We saw a beautiful humpback whale today just south from Haguanes. He lifted the tail and was obviously in a feeding mode. These beauties never ceases to amaze us with their size and grace!

We had a lovely tour today. Even though the weather was quite cold it was nothing our overalls could not stop. We found a humpback whale just a few minutes which was relaxed and did of course not mind W us around.

We had such an amazing tour this morning where we found a relaxed humpback whale close to land. The weather was beautiful and we expect it to stay so the next days.

We’ve had some lovely tours the recent days. Even though a little cold, the whales have been close by and the fishing has been quite an experience. We expect warmer days ahead!

We did a beautiful tour today where the weather was at its best and we found a humpback whale close by which has been circulating here for a few days. We expect him to stay here for the next days – even weeks.
