Iceland Whale watching Tours
– Whale watching in Iceland. Whale Watching Hauganes offers daily scheduled whale watching tours from Eyjafjordur, 25 min drive north of Akureyri in North Iceland.
– Best location to experience the whales in their natural habitat.
Whale Watching Hauganes is extremely proud of being the oldest whale watching Iceland company. We have toured with travelers on whale watching since 1993. Northern Iceland is globally recognized as the best location to experience whales in the world. See the Humpback whales, white beaked dolphins and minke whales.
Our two classic oak boats have been renovated for your comfort, have enjoyed good maintenance, are spacious, comfortable and extremely stable. As there are no generators on board, the engines can be turned off when approaching the whales making the approach as gentle and non-intrusive as possible.
We look forward to seeing you!

Feeding Humpback whales
20th of May: In both our tours today we had calm oceans were the sea was almost like a mirror. Great conditions. In our first tour we spotted one Humpback whale who was feeding close to the surface and around us. In our second tour we found two other Humpback whales that were also feeding close to the surface. We believe at the moment they are feeding on Cepelin as there is a lot of it here at the moment.
