The beginning of this whale watching season has been great for us. The whale watching success has been truly amazing. We have had Humpback Whales all over the fjord and reached a goal of 100% seeing rate in June! The absolutely amazing thing about sailing out from Hauganes is that most often there’s only about 15-25 minute sail until we reach a Humpback whale. Our captains are guessing that there have been around 8 Humpback whales in the fjord this season and for your information the whales can be identified by their tails. The photos below show how different their tails can be, they can either be almost completely black or almost completely white, or anything there between.
