Humpbacks and minkies close tí Hauganes

May 4th: Had a lovely tour today where we saw humpbacks and minke whales here just a few minutes south from our village. Really good tours ahead.

May 3rd: Lovely tour today where we saw a humpback whale just north from Hauganes and another further away. Also we saw minke whales and harbour porpoises during our tour. Although a little chilly the weather was extremely beautiful and the sea calm.

May 2nd: We saw two humpback here just north from us, close to Hrisey island. Before we knew it one of them started to breach and slap his pectoral fin. We also saw a minke whale and harbor porpoises. Exciting times ahead! 🙂

May 1st: We saw humpbacks here just north from Hauganes, beautiful ones who lifted their tail flukes but were at the same time very relaxed. Minkes and harbour porpoises also in the area.

The season has started and the whales are here!

We´ve had such lovely tours here close to Hauganes the recent days. We are seeing humback whales, minke whales and harbor porpoises. Also, we’ve been seeing orcas (killer whales) the recent weeks here just north of our village. Amazing tours ahead!
